  1. The blessing of finding GLM academy-Our process began with fear and anxiety. The process of finding the right place with the right people to take care of our first baby at 4 months was one of the most stressful things to think about! How would we find a place with caretakers who would take care of and love our child as we do? How would I be able to go back work and leave our tiny baby with strangers? All those thoughts went through my mind constantly before our search began. These fears were laid to rest very quickly. We toured 3 other daycares prior to finding Great Little Minds Academy. All three of the daycares were amazing but something was still missing. We walked into GLMA and immediately I knew this was the place for our Olivia. Call it mother’s intuition I guess but I just knew. It reminded me of a Spa for babies with a soothing smell of lavender and sounds of a spa. The teachers were welcoming and we could truly feel the love they had for their children in their class just by observing for a few minutes. Now fast forward 8 months later and the day was here to actually drop off our tiny 4 month old and leave her with strangers. I cried the entire time until the moment I handed our sweet tiny Olivia to Ms. Gaudys. I could feel the love our Olivia was about to receive from her new person in her life. It truly felt as though we were leaving her with family and has felt that way every day for the last 2 years. I will always remember the moment that validated we made the right decision on daycare when our sweet little Olivia cried wanting to stay with Ms. Gaudys rather than going home with us! I am absolutely certain Olivia believes her teachers are her family! ~The Olague Family

  2. My daughter has been attending Great Little Minds Academy since she was 3 months old and is now a little over 2. All of the people that work there are so sweet with my little girl and she smiles and laughs every day when I pick her up and drop her off. Karen, the director, has an extensive background in education and her lesson plans are so wonderful and well thought out. I really enjoy that she incorporates a lot of fun in her plans for the children. People always comment to me how smart my daughter is for her age and I know that is in part to this Academy. Additionally for me it is very important that children learn multiple languages when they are young which gives them a level up later in life. I love that she is learning and using Spanish every day. I would recommend this daycare to anyone who wants a peace of mind knowing that their child is being well taken care. ~The Izquierdo Family

  3. My daughter has been attending GLMA since she was 2 years old. A couple of weeks after enrollment, we started noticing improvements in her cognitive development, as well as her social, emotional and communication skills. My daughter is always happy to see her friends and is constantly retelling stories that she learned in school, singing in Spanish and English, and even showing off some yoga moves!! For our family, this location is very convenient because it is on our way to work (around downtown). Besides, it is the only school in the area that is genuinely dual language, at an affordable price. This place is so much more than people "watching over" children. The staff goes above and beyond to ensure the health and safety of your child. They are very loving and caring, and are committed to helping the children develop their curiosity and active thinking. We love this place! ~The Barrera Family

  4. Great Little Minds Academy always has great activities that continue to inspire children and encourage play-based learning. My son adores his teachers that are nurturing and at the same time encourage growth. GLMA is also a safe place for my children; I know that when I drop them off, they are in extraordinary hands and are in route to having a great day. The benefits of bilingualism are endless; this was an important factor when we were researching for childcare providers. The fact that my 2 year old flourishes in both English and Spanish with ease gives me so much joy and confidence for his future. My 4 year old has been at GLMA for merely a month and we already notice an incredible difference in her Spanish. With many moves under our belts, we have had experiences with many childcare facilities. GLMA has by far exceeded our expectations and we couldn't be happier! ~The Puente Family

  5. As a parent, when you are away from your child, you want nothing more than for your child to feel the same sense of love and security that they find in their own home. We are so grateful to all the teachers and staff at GLMA. Our daughter has attended GLMA since she was 4 months old and her excitement is evident when I tell her we're off to school in the morning. The minute she hits the door she is ready to play with her friends and learn from her teachers. And at pick-up she's so excited to tell me all about her day. Thank you GLMA for all that you do. It's our daughter's home away from home, where there is lots of fun, lots of learning, and lots of love. ~The Thompson Family

The staff has been kind, helpful, and incredibly loving to our daughter. Now when I drop her off, she has a big smile on her face and is happy to see her teachers/friends. We love the small class environment, Spanish instruction, and family feel of GLMA. We couldn’t imagine sending her anywhere else. ~The Quesada-Kiernan Family

  7. My son has attended Great Little Minds Academy for 3 years now and was among one of the first students to attend its grand opening. This place has been so much more than just childcare for us, Great Little Minds Academy has played such a huge part in my son’s growth and development. He has learned so much, from potty training, colors, and letters to addition, vowels, and now reading. I am in awe with how much he has learned over the years, and all done in both English and Spanish! Most importantly, the director and teachers have always given my son the upmost love and attention and for that, I am truly grateful. ~The Peña Family

If you are looking for a dual language school with a great educational program, this is the one! My daughter's language has increased significantly since she started here. The teachers are so loving, caring, and attentive. I honestly feel like I'm leaving my kids with family. Communicating with the staff is easy. My kids adore their teachers! The fact that meals are included is a HUGE plus as well. ~The Alalí-Vallejo Family

We are so happy she is in GLMA, she started going when she was four months old and as new parents we trusted everyone right from the beginning. Our daughter is so happy every day when we drop her off, she has made so many friends and has learned so much. GLMA has helped shaped her into a kind, smart, and energetic girl, we are so happy and grateful every day with her teachers and we are confident that GLMA was the best choice for our family. ~The Prebisch-Escalante Family

  10. We truly love GLMA! We've been taking our daughter for the past 2 years now and she really enjoys it! The teachers and staff are always friendly and very caring. Karen, the Director of GLMA, really puts her best efforts in making this place a wonderful environment for the kids. You can tell she sincerely loves the kids and is very attentive. They also have a dual-program, which is a plus for us. It helps our daughter practice her Spanish on a daily basis. They also follow a teaching curriculum that I feel will prepare her for elementary school in the next year. During the COVID-19 pandemic, they remained opened for essential employees' kids and took extra precautions to sanitize the daycare and to keep the kids and the staff as safe as possible. They also put up a few activities, worksheets, and story-time videos on their Facebook page to help keep the kids at home engaged, if they were not been able to attend. They went the extra mile to help the parents at home. Overall, this place has been quite a blessing for us! ~The Trammell-Trujillo Family

  11. When our son was born 2 months early with health issues, the idea of putting him into a daycare environment was terrifying. After a failed attempt at an in-home nanny, we found ourselves at Great Little Minds Academy. Initially we had concerns because the school didn’t appear as glamorous as some other facilities in the area; however, we’ve since come to see that it’s what’s on the inside that counts. During his first two years, our son had to overcome many health issues as a result of being premature and he became just as much a child to his care givers at the school as he was ours. They spent a lot of time with him trying to learn how best to feed him and we were all teaching each other. They would chase off distractions while he was taking a bottle to keep him focused because he was underweight. The ladies that watch him love and care for him just as much as we do. Our children have always been known by every teacher on staff and it is evident that everyone looks out for their wellbeing. Our daughter, 18m when she started, has thrived. She started eating more at school thanks to the circle time setting for snacks and lunch. She’s also become more social and outgoing and it’s amazing to see how well she has picked up Spanish from the dual language program. Dad tries to keep up by self-learning but almost 2 years later, she’s teaching Dad Spanish! The school director understands that it’s very important to have staff who can love empathetically in addition to teach. Although it’s not easy in the industry, the director has had success retaining key staff and doesn’t waste time with bad teachers. The director is great with communication and keeping us aware of issues at the school or concerns with the children. We feel very fortunate to have found such a wonderful people to care for and teach our children. ~The Jernigan Family

  12. Our daughter has been at Great Little Minds Academy for about a year now in the toddler classroom. During this year, we have seen our daughter blossom. She loves going to school and when we pull up she shouts “school!” The teachers there are amazing and love her like she is their own. The curriculum is engaging and age appropriate. Our daughter always brings home fun arts and crafts projects. She is also learning a ton. We are an English speaking family, but she can now speak and understand Spanish. We would recommend GLMA to everyone and I plan on keeping her there until she goes to elementary school. ~The Humphries Family

  13. We’ve only been at GLMA for a short period of time, and my only regret is not finding them sooner in my daughter Zooëy’s life. Since the day I met with Mrs. Karen, she’s been nothing but reassuring and gives you the sense of peace that her and her staff will truly care for your child as one of their own. Zooëy began in the beginning of March, and although Spanish was taught to her since birth, within 1 week of being in her dual language program, she was speaking and singing clearly in Spanish. To say that Mrs. Karen and all the ladies at GLMA have been a Godsend is an absolute understatement. Zooëy has already learned so much in the short time that she has been there and we are blessed beyond words to have found GLMA. ~The Alba Family
